My name is Shane and I run my blogs under the alias of Troy Spro so no one knows who I am and Protein Guy is just an extension of this.
The point of Protein Guy is to put all my knowledge of things protein and supplements all in one place!
I started gym training back when I was seventeen and so I have always been around all things protein, whether it be products / supplements, foods, diets or recipes.
I also worked in sales for a sports supplement company in the wholesale side of supplements for many years too, so this has kept me up to date with what’s happening in supplements and also in the protein market too.
I also have another couple of projects running too which keeps me pretty busy, one is Troy Spro where I write about travel, life and music.
And my others are Calculate Gross Profit (there’s a revamp coming on this site) and shaneday.com.au (not up and running yet), so check these out too if you want.
Here is a brief explanation of what you will find going here at Protein Guy.
In this category I cover all types of supplements (yes, including protein powders too).
If you have been using supplements at all you will know that there is a lot of products these days that cover many different goals.
I’ll also write about protein shakers in this category too and a few other accessory type products.
If you look in the top menu there is a drop down with all of the current categories.

And finally, to round it off is a few explanations of the different diets I have encountered over the years (like Paleo, Vegetable and more).
