Pure WPI by VPA is a high protein, very low carbohydrate Whey Protein Isolate protein powder manufactured by the Australian supplement brand VPA.
This supplement has only Grass Fed WPI Whey Protein Isolate as its sole protein source, along with its flavour and also sucralose as a sweetener.
The WPI that VPA uses in this protein powder is sourced from the finest New Zealand grass fed hormone free cattle, which means a better quality Whey Protein Isolate for you and it also means it will help you get quality results when you add it to your daily nutrition plan.
Pure WPI is one of the best sellers in the current VPA protein range and when you mix it in your shaker and taste it for the first time you will know why (I have a few flavour reviews for you below).
One serve of the Pure WPI protein powder will give you around 26 grams of protein.
So this makes this WPI supplement around 87.8% protein mark with the rest of the 100gm being made up of its naturally occurring carbohydrates, flavours and the sweetener.
Here’s some information for you about the supplement brand VPA that makes the Pure WPI protein powder.
VPA was originally only selling protein powder market when they started in 2001 and is a company with its main headquarters based in Brisbane, Queensland.
They also have offices in Sydney, Melbourne, Perth, as well and this means a quicker delivery for your supplements when you order no matter where you live.
They have built on this initial protein powder range and expanded into what you see today as they have many other types of products across all of the different supplement categories.
By offering Free Shipping on all of their supplements, combined with their passion to release great products, they are currently processing more than 25,000kg of supplements a month through their doors.
They are also quite unique in the fact they are the manufacturer of the supplements with their own production facility, their supplements come straight from the factory to you and one of the benefits of this type of business setup is better pricing for you.
VPA have also gone through a complete re-brand and name change recently which saw them change from Venom Protein to VPA (Venom Protein and Aminos).
So still the same quality and attention to detail, just a different name.

When do you use Pure WPI?
Pure WPI by VPA can be used at exactly the same time you would use any other Whey Protein Isolate supplement.
You put one heaped scoop of protein into your shaker with 250ml of water, twist on the lid, shake and drink.
VPA says to have this protein shake three times a day on training days and two times a day on non-training days for heavy trainers.
Light trainers need to back off on the serves with two a day on training days and one on non-training days.
Finally, if you are looking at weight control or bumping up your protein intake for the day one protein shake a day should suffice.
The best times to use your protein shakes are mid-morning, mid-afternoon and after training.
The VPA Pure WPI protein is light enough in your stomach, I have found, that it is very easy to train on even if you have only had a shake half an hour before.
Grass Fed Whey Protein Isolate, Flavour, Sucralose.
Cocoa is also included in the Chocolate flavoured WPI.
Contains ingredients from milk and traces of soy.

What flavours does it come in?
Pure WPI by VPA is available currently in ten different flavours.
More than likely, by the time you read this, they probably would have added a few more to the list below!
- Iced Coffee
- Rainbow Ice Cream
- Salted Caramel
- Choc Banana
I have tried three of the flavours above so far in the VPA Pure WPI and they are pretty good!
If you want to have a thick and flavoursome protein shake, I would suggest using only 200ml of water.
I did use 250ml for some shakes and it makes the protein shake flavours quite subtle, so it depends on what you prefer.
The Chocolate Pure WPI was great, mixed easily and tasted good.
Next was the Iced Coffee Pure WPI, very subtle flavour for this one and I have had a few coffee flavoured protein shakes over the years that were overpowering in taste.
The Iced Coffee flavour just sits nicely in the middle, it mixes easily and is easy to drink.
Banana flavours aren’t usually my pick of the bunch (insert nose laugh here), but the Banana Pure WPI again was quite subtle in flavour so it was easy to drink too.
The Vanilla Pure WPI was great too and is a good change up from the Chocolate if you wanted to have a break, also good to mix with oats in the morning or to use in your favourite protein pancake or protein ball recipe.
What are the sizes?
Pure WPI by VPA comes in five different sizes currently and these are made up of 1kg bags so there isn’t any issue with freshness at all.
You get to mix the flavours when you order through VPA just by choosing a different size the choice of flavour for each 1kg bag is given to you.
This is great if you want to mix and match for a few months so you don’t get bored with the same flavour.
Where can I buy Pure WPI by VPA?
Pure WPI by VPA is only available to buy at VPA’s Online Store.
So you won’t find it yet at your local supplement shop or in your local health food store.
This is good and bad in some respects, good that you get great prices and great quality products straight from the manufacturer, but the only negative is you will have to order online and wait for delivery.
They are pretty quick with their deliveries from ordering through to delivery and there shouldn’t be a problem.
If you want to find VPA, you can Google “VPA Protein” and you will find them at the top of the page.
