This protein shake recipe is a great start to the day if you are time poor and looking for a solution that takes care of your protein needs.
It also takes care of one of the most important meals of the day, breakfast, so here is a great breakfast protein shake for you to try.
This protein shake does need a hand blender at least to mix but I have been guilty in the past of just throwing the ingredients in and using the protein shaker ball to do the work.
It’s a bit chunky but still not too bad if you can’t wake up the rest of the family as you leave the house.
There are only four ingredients for this protein recipe but you can add in more if you want or change things around if you aren’t into banana flavoured protein shakes.
So here is what you need for this great breakfast protein shake.
- 250ml of skim milk or water if you want
- 1 x Banana of any size or a different type of fruit that you like
- ½ x Cup or 3 x tablespoons of porridge or quick oats
- 2 x Scoops of your favourite protein powder
How to make the Great Breakfast Protein Shake
Here is the step by step process for you on how to make this easy breakfast protein shake.
If you are using a protein shaker for this shake, make sure to use the 800ml protein shaker as you will need the room regardless if you are using the hand held bar mix or just using the shaker by itself.
- Get your protein shaker out of the cupboard or pantry
- Get your breakfast protein shake ingredients out and lay them on your kitchen bench
- Take the lid off your protein shaker
- Plug the hand held blender in if you are using one
- Pour your skim milk or water into the protein shaker
- Cut up your banana and put into the shaker cup
- Add the half cup or tablespoons of porridge into the shaker
- Then add the 2 scoops of protein powder into the mix
If you are using a hand held bar mix to make your breakfast protein shake;
- If using bar mix hand held blender, switch it on and blend the mixture until smooth
- Screw the lid back onto your protein shaker tightly
- Then pop the protein shaker lid and enjoy
If you are just using a protein shaker cup to make your breakfast protein shake;
- WARNING, if just using the protein shaker, make sure at this time to put your lid on before shaking
- Shake for a while to get the ingredients mixed up as best you can
- Then pop the protein shaker lid and enjoy
As you can see this breakfast protein shake recipe comes with a warning of remembering to screw the lid on properly before shaking.
I only emphasise this step after having a few experiences over the years with not putting on a lid properly and then starting to shake and the protein goes everywhere and it is sticky after you have added water or milk to it.
This oversight also impacts on the time you are trying to save as the tidying up will take longer than making the breakfast protein shake and also having to explain to your partner the reason why the floor is so sticky in the kitchen later on too, so I’m just looking out for you.
This breakfast protein shake delivers nutrients to your body pretty quickly and will take care of most people’s diet requirements as you can chop and change the protein powder and fruit to suit.
If you do have a little more time, say on the weekend, there is no reason why you can’t make this breakfast protein shake in a full blender too and add a bit more variety of fruit into it.
I hope you enjoy making this breakfast protein shake and it saves you a lot of time in the morning if you need it.
